Dr. Darcy Ward
Dr. Darcy Ward began her education in Bristol, Virginia
with a degree in Horsemanship in 1995, following her
early passion for horses. Shortly after undergraduate
she began chiropractic college in St. Louis, Missouri at Logan College of Chiropractic in
1996. While in school, she participated in an internship
with Dr. Lucy Whyte Ferguson, one of the head
instructors for Janet Travell's myofascial release
seminars on trigger point therapy.
Following graduation in 1999, Dr. Ward began practicing with Dr. Lucy Whyte
Ferguson in private practice in Taos, New Mexico. It was
at this time that she also began assisting in the
teaching of the myofascial seminars for UNM Continuing
Medical Education Department. She continued refining her
myofascial training and expertise under Dr. Ferguson for 6 years,
treating complex muscle and joint conditions such as
carpal tunnel, sciatica, disc injuries, failed surgeries
for discs and carpal tunnel, Bell's Palsy, migraines,
scoliosis, and shoulder and knee problems.
She moved to the Raleigh area in September 2005 where she eventually co-founded Center for Chiropractic & Wellness in 2007. It was at this time that she also became certified in animal chiropractic, where she was able to tie her love of animals in with her passion for chiropractic and natural healing. Center for Chiropractic & Wellness of Greensboro was opened in January 2012 where she continues to practice as a sole owner. Her interest and dedication
to treating complex muscle and joint conditions has
remained. She has been especially interested in treating
sports related injuries and supporting athletes. During her time in Raleigh, she supported the Raleigh Rugby Football Club by treating the athletes at the field during home games.
